Going Live with Jen Rubin, Carole Cadwalladr and Yael Eisenstat, July 2
On Big Tech And The Democratic Backslide
At a moment when we urgently need to tone down dangerous rhetoric and engage in more informed debate, social media is only making it worse. Following years of social media contributing to the proliferation of hate, extremism, and disinformation, we now see tech titans cozying up to the US Administration eager to exploit division for political gain.
In this conversation, we’ll look at how Big Tech is contributing to the democratic backslide, what the tech companies want from Trump, and how we can change our relationship with these platforms for the better.
